How to use Perlite India Concrete Screeds for Roof Insulation?
Perlite India lightweight concrete screeds can be directly laid-to-slope on the slab (roof).
Lower the density of Perlite India lightweight concrete, better the thermal conductivity is achieved.
For instance, Perlite India Lightweight concrete screeds for insulation, come between the density between 400kg/m3 to 1000 kg/m3. At 400kg/m3 concrete, the thermal conductivity you get is about 0.08W/mK which is quite lower to that of conventional concrete or brickbat coba which shall be laid to slope.
Other advantages of using Perlite India Concrete as Insulation, is that it is non- combustible/ non-flammable or even it the insulation properties does not deteriorate with time, unlike EPS/XPS (Open or Closed cell Foam Sheets).
Secondly, it gives you a monolithic, hard and smooth finish to receive the above waterproofing treatment over it.
With a neutral pH, and free from Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs) it becomes a natural and a better replacement for other insulation products.
With being able to lay to slope, the thickness of the total roofing system becomes lesser than of any other roofing system used as for insulation.
